Permanent Residence
You may be a good candidate!
We can help you get the necessary permissions to hire the employee, as well as have them enter with a valid work permit!
Is this program for you?
Many temporary residents find themselves in situations where they don’t get permanent residence in Canada before the expiry of their status as a worker here. In many of these cases, the LMIA is your last option. Speak to us to see if you qualify for another LMIA exempt work permit, and if not, we can help you with the processing of your LMIA and work permit.
The short answer is no. An LMIA work permit is a closed work permit and the worker is bound to work for you for the duration of the work permit (normally 2-3 years). This being said, when/if the worker gets permanent residence in Canada and no longer requires the work permit, then there is no way to compel them to continue working for you.
